Artec Design is a multi-discipline product development company established in 1998 with a competence span covering wireless technologies, data security, networking interfaces and various CPU hardware platforms.
Artec provides original electronics design and development as well as product casing modelling and prototyping according to customer specifications. We offer solutions that take advantage of several competence fields including analog and digital circuit development, embedded software and application programming, power supply and mechanical design as well as production. Our goal is to provide full set of services that cover complete development cycle and help customers to transfer their ideas into tangible products.
75% of the team at Artec is comprised of professional electronic and software engineers. Artec Design exports 70% of its devices and services to its customers in Europe, Asia and North America.
Our products are used in government, business, education, retail, logistic, archiving, health care, warehousing organizations and by the community of embedded software developers.

Product Development Grant

Artec Design has received a product development grant (EU60327) from Enterprise Estonia for the period of 05.10.2020 – 03.06.2023.
The goal of the project is to develop novel battery-powered ePaper signs together with a content management server (CMS). The digital signs will connect to the cloud-based CMS via mobile network, which enables remote management of dispatched devices from a single interface. As a result of the grant, new products will be introduced to the market that will be used to diversify the business model and increase exports.
The total investment is expected to reach 375,563 €, where Artec Design will invest at least 93,891 € and the incentive can reach 281,672 €. The product development grant is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Research and Development
Artec Design commits part of its resources to support the future academic focus on creating new and alternative methods for product development as well as for bringing to life breakthrough technologies.
Artec Design values the importance of scientific approaches in the R&D process and as a proof of its R&D direction, Artec has partnered with the Tallinn University of Technology to form a Competence and Technology Consortium ELIKO.
Artec is partnering with Eliko on IoT driven industrial R&D program (EU48693). The program includes 22 industry-led R&D projects in a range of fields. The Competence Centre Project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund with 6,996,700 euros.
